Apple BOOKS REVIEW
Whether your passion is writing, painting, or any other artistic pursuit, Steven Pressfield is about to light the proverbial burn down under your butt. With his straightforward motivational guide, the author of The Legend of Bagger Vance distills the artist's struggle to 1 brilliantly simple principle: Resistance. Resistance is the strength that keeps you likewise bogged downwards with fears that you aren't good enough, too stuck waiting for "inspiration" to strike, or likewise distracted by an e-mail or a show to sit down and actually do your fine art. Pressfield, a erstwhile marine, reads his audiobook with a drill sergeant's precision, which is perfect for his no-nonsense, to-the-point communication. He reminds united states that greats from William Shakespeare to Henry Fonda faced this aforementioned self-incertitude and procrastination—and that their success came from overcoming resistance and working on their craft every unmarried day. The War of Art had united states gear up to put the pedal to the creative metal even before we were done listening.

A must read
I brilliant and well written novel! I am humble about self-help books because they ordinarily make me gag and throw the books style due to their repetitive capacity and quasi-motivational nature. BUT Non THIS BOOK! This opened my consciousnesses in multiple ways. I bought this audio book with the intention of finding a way to defeat procrastination (resistance) and find purpose in my life. This volume helped me practise that for sure. Simply I got and so much more out of this book. Interestingly, this volume is a beautiful fusion of philosophy, psychology, history, memoirs, motivational writing/speaking (and even religion). Listening to the audio was a very insightful and engaging feel and I programme on buying a physical copy to share with friends, comment, and elaborate on for my personal journal.
I highly suggest this book to ANYONE merely especially to young people who feel similar they're at a crossroads in life. Like deciding what to do after high school or whether or not they should pursue a sure major/ career path.
Based off of the title, I thought this volume's intended audience was for writers and artists just it actually is for anyone. I wonder what the globe would look like if everyone Really read this volume, saturated the text, and took something away from it.To summarize the moral of "the WAR of Art", y'all're unique. You have ambitions, gifts, experiences, and a personality that is God-given. The ego, culture, laziness, and fear tin disrupt your creative process. The book shows you how to change your perspective to attain purpose, bulldoze, and productivity.
